Laminations Expands Its Northwest Capabilities With Move to New Plant

Laminations Expands

Relocation to larger building allows room for new VBoard® machine in Wilsonville, Oregon

APPLETON, Wis., Jan. 17, 2007—Laminations®, part of Great Northern Corporation’s Specialty Group, has moved its Northwest operations in Wilsonville, Oregon, into a larger facility that has allowed the addition of a new state-of-the-art VBoard® machine.

“After 16 years in the same facility, we found we needed more room to better service our customers,” said Laminations Director of Manufacturing Chuck Hanson. “The new building and the addition of the new VBoard machine mean we can provide quicker turnarounds, especially in peak periods.”

The move, which was completed in October 2006, relocated operations to a nearby building in the Wilsonville Business Park.  “The new, larger facility offered a better layout for a more efficient manufacturing operation and allowed us to put in the additional, more versatile VBoard machine – including the ability to offer our overwrapped (WrapBoard®) version of VBoard,” Hanson said.

“Our investment in this expanded facility and in our new state-of-the-art VBoard machine allows us to respond even more quickly to the needs of our Northwest plant’s customers,” said Laminations President Rick Detienne. “ We are delighted to support the accomplishments of our excellent Northwest teammates by providing them with the resources essential to the continued growth of their business.”
